Tamatoa Born into the illustrious lands of the Lightweaver and her glittering children, Tamatoa was conceived royal, and he is intensely aware of it. His mother and father showered their only son with all manner of shiny bauble and toy, and from this spoiling came an obsession with everything golden and glitter. He was destined to take charge of the throne when a rival clan invaded his home, Tama barely made it out alive. The Pearl never lost his heightened sense of worth and sometimes arrogant narcissism, and because of this he found little to no pity from every clan he went to for protection and shelter. No clan wanted a self important brat in their midst, and he became more and more jaded and bitter as time passed him by. It was a lucky break when he met Spinel and her soldiers, who took pity on the dirty, sniveling creature begging for shelter at her feet. It took Tama a long time to find his feet within the city, and for a long while he was holed up in a cramped hovel just getting by on scraps. Tamatoa was thrifty and had an incredibly sharp tongue for business however, and after a time he managed to talk his way into a position of power, and his wealth began to grow. He rivals the Kings themselves in material possessions, maybe even surpasses them, and he knows it. His ego and sense of self importance did not falter or lessen in his time among the commoners. He is still better than everyone else, a hero and a gift in his own mind, definitely better than you.
