Biography

Balaam is the child of Belial and Valefar, a demon who wears the skin of a foul Ridgeback. Their wicked smile and beady red eyes are enough to fill your stomach with fear. Known among dragons as "The Betrayer," Balaam once took shelter in the Sunbeam Ruins in a clan of prophets and worked as a metallurgist for low pay. He was confronted directly by the Lightweaver one day, an almost unheard of event to take place between dragon and deity, her words meant to convert Balaam in to a prophet himself. Her intention, to encourage him to spread the good word of luminous truth among Sornieth and prevent them from attacking the Sunbeam Ruins.

Balaam, however, took her words and twisted them, instead welcoming chaos and fire in to the domain of light and causing a war which lasted for many months. The clan of prophets, which were nonviolent, perished in the disaster, and the Lightweaver banished him from ever returning. But he didn't seem to mind, sauntering off to another clan to potentially cause more damage.

This is a dragon of bad luck. Misfortune follows wherever this dragon journeys.
