Magier is a member of the Ice flight subspecies Northern Lights Mage and meets the specific genetic criteria set forth by that flight and/or the creator of the subspecies.

Powerful mages that serve as messengers for the Icewarden. They use their powerful magic to broadcast messages to their lover/family across the night sky of Sornieth in the form of colored light. Pure mages are bound in service to the Icewarden and rarely leave or take a mate. Afflicted mages (variants) can be born or created and have to some degree been cursed by the Icewarden and therefore are not fully trusted/respected among the Ice community. Afflicted mages can also be Shade touched.
