Biography
There are times when you see flashes of compassion cross the usually snarling dragon’s face when he’s in Gwilanna’s vicinity. Just a gentle touch or a knowing look shared between the two and you can’t help but turn away, feeling as if you were intruding on a private moment.
Nightfire. Nightfire. Those fiery wings like an intimate secret shared between the two, burning away his obsidian, “cursed”, skin; washing away his sins.
His wind eyes tell the tale of a clan that soars high and free, yet he lets his heart be chained to the arcanes.

Nightfire was born into the Wind clan, but was immediately chased away by his parents for he harbored an unnatural obsidian skin that many thought were the symbolic colors of a cursed child. Cast away from his family and clan, he struggled to survive in the wild on his own. He strayed at the borders of several clans, but none was willing to accept him after knowing that he was tossed out of his own. After years of staying in the wild, Nightfire grew stronger and his heart grew darker. He couldn't understand why his parents would throw away their own blood child and he wanted to rebel against the elegant, monogamist way of living that was praised amongst the dragon kind. He mated with several other dragons and bred many children, many of them he could not even recall the name of, if they had a name to begin with.
It wasn't long that this way of living tired him. He didn't want to think of the unfortunate children that he had left behind, all too similar to what his own parents had done. Now he just wanted to settle down with a mate that would actually love him and he would love back. But who would come near this black ghoul-like monster? His wings were tattered, his claws broken, and his eyes dulled from the bright emerald green they once were. Dejected, Nightfire wandered aimlessly until he reached the borders of the Arcane flight. He hadn't been to this clan before, sure they would reject him as well, just like all the other clans, but he was surprised and shocked to find a young female dragon at the borders, picking flowers and plants.
The dragon, like him, was also a spiral, but unlike him, she had beautiful white skin and clear purple eyes, the mark of the Arcanist. However, Nightfire couldn't help notice that they both shared the same fiery wing-color and boldly approached the dragon. They dragon told him her name was Gwilanna and they exchanged brief greetings. Nightfire didn't tell her his life story and neither did she, but he felt like his stone-cold heart, which had been empty and heavy, was finally revived.
Nightfire stayed countless days by the borders of the Arcane flight, hoping he would catch sight of the young female dragon again, and his efforts were not wasted. A few days later, Gwilanna came back and this time, she offered him a tour, recognizing his green eyes as that of another clan. Nightfire was overjoyed and accepted the offer eagerly, following Gwilanna, he toured the Arcane flight and was touched by the acts of kindness he could see taking place all over the clan. For once, Nightfire felt like had found a place to stay.
