Born to two wandering skydancers, Vhalka was left behind when his parents went to seek the Lightweaver's favor. He was born on a day when Nature and Light magic were both especially strong. He has a hobbyist's interest in gardening, especially in plants that bloom in the spring.

He was sent off on an apprenticeship with a Lightning clan soon after hatching as a gesture of good will--and because his former clan had no room for him. Vhalka is a near-silent dragon, more likely to observe than speak. He is a thoughtful cataloger of everything he comes across, and shows promise as a scientist or researcher of some kind. Every action Vhalka takes (or doesn't take) is carefully considered, the pros and cons weighed scrupulously before he acts. His logical mind always makes him question what others tell him and even what he sees for himself.

Vhalka is distant and almost detached from his clanmates, though that's not to say he dones't have some affection towards them. He's thankful to have been taken in. But his cool attitude and frequent but accidental rudeness can make him hard to befriend. Vhalka is too focused on his own pursuits to consider how his actions will affect others around him. Still, those who are willing to put in the effort are often the recipients of extremely thoughtful gifts and intelligent insights into the world around them.
