Blade

I don't like this Blade. It isn't safe for you, it's much better if we stay home. What even is the point?

Because I never get to go anywhere! Please? Pretty please?

You know I can't stop you Blade, I can never say no to you.

The Nocturne and Imperial looked like just regular dragons, but if one observed close enough they would be able to tell that they weren't...quite all there. They are ancient old spirits bound to each other. Blade and Aegis, the sword and the shield. They could not speak out loud, and only in their minds could they speak to each other. But Blade had been practicing for weeks for this night, and he thought he had it down. He was so excited!

Aegis was a little more careful, as they traveled about to their first lair he was so worried that something would happen to him- or worse, to Blade. They may be strong, ancient beings, but they still looked like tiny little hatchlings to those of this world. Aegis fretted over it all night. But upon reaching your lair, the smile and light in Blade's eyes made all worry go away. Blade was so happy to be here and it made Aegis feel so happy inside!

As the two approached, Blade faltered and stopped.

I don't think I can do this.

Of course you can! You have wanted to do this for weeks, you practiced and practiced! We can't turn back now! Let's have fun, just like you said we would.

Okay...okay... I can do it.

The two approach together holding each other's hands like the small hatchlings they looked like and Blade smiled big and warmly. Taking in a deep breath, he chirped out, "Trick or Treat!" Aegis' smile grew even bigger.
