Nurret

Nurret was put up for auction on the illegal market at birth and bought, which led to a tumultuous start to life. He was carted across the world with barely the memory of his parents' faces and little kindness from his owners. One day, they were travelling through a dense forest of rock when three young fae dragons burst into their company and made off with his cage. They carried him for some miles before ungainly dropping him before a group of other dragons. His cage was quickly broken, and he released into a new family. Immediately thrust into a nest full of other young dragons, Nurret withdrew at the change.
He grew into a very desirable young dragon; his shiny golden scales attracted the attention of many in his lair, and he preened at the attention. At their notice, he began to clean and polish rigorously every day, making sure his scales shimmered from even the tiniest drop of light.
His beauty gives him the pick of the lair in terms of choosing a mate, but despite his vain attentions he seeks a mate of true calibre, who sees beyond his sheen, not one who only cares to see his golden brilliance prancing at their side like a trophy.

Nurret's constant companion has been his owlcat, a friend who he confides everything in, even if their intellectual capabilities are on quite a different level. No matter how much the owlcat understands, it nods sagely, or in a way Nurret interprets as sage to make himself feel better. The owlcat loves the attention Nurret gives it and the warmth its friend provides at night.
