Biography

...Apparently I am being given many nicknames by Tanganika and Slovakia. The list goes as follows:
Smore
Slaughter
Snores

The bells above the door chimed cheerily as it opened, the notes almost as pretty as the two guys standing behind the counter of the coffee shop, chatting. They don't seem to notice your presence and, looking around, you can see they're having a slower day, business wise. As you move closer, you can just hear their conversation.

"Fasica," The guy with the coffee brown hair and warm eyes said as he started making what looked to be two cups of coffee. "Could you see if there's any honey left in the pantry? I've been meaning to try a new combination of add-ins for the menu."
The other guy, who must have been Fasica, rolled his eyes and headed into a back room to search, his scarf fluttering behind him.
You finally seem to be noticed by the guy who first spoke - Coffee Man, you decide to call him, at least, in your head - and he smiles and waves you over.
"What would you like? We don't just sell coffee, here, if that's not your type. Fasica makes fantastic tea. In fact, you should really order that. It's cheaper." Coffee Man grins conspiratorially at you as he leans over the counter after setting down the cups.
He looks up as Fasica comes back in, then smiles slyly.
"Hey there, Tea Boy! I was just telling our customer about your tea. Oh, and that lovely accent of yours! Still don't know where it's from."
Fasica's face went bright red as he placed a half empty jar of honey on the counter.
"Just stop, Haunt... here's your honey." He muttered, adjusting his scarf. Haunt reached over and patted his friend's head, and Fasica paused what he was doing to try and punch Haunt in the shoulder.
You smile, not failing to notice how the two were like brothers from different mothers.
"Now now, Tea Boy," He chided gently, dodging the punch. "We must remain professional for customers."

Mystify cackled as he zoomed through the Oracle's den, flying through the walls and scattering the flowers everywhere. He coiled around a table leg and grinned up at the Oracle, grinning mischievously. They rolled their eyes at him, annoyed.
"Don't you have something better to do than mess up my home?" Lichen grumbled and Mystify shook his head.
"NOPE! And besides, I like making everyone think you're crazy, seeing things that nobody else does!"
"Dreadful, really." Lichen grumbled, their many yellow eyes glaring at Mystify as he started zipping around the den again, screeching at the top of his lungs. The sound was like a dying kitsune, shrill and painfully ear piercing.
"GET OUT!" Lichen snarled, snapping at the end of Mystify's tail as he streaked past.
"Rude." Mystify stuck his tongue out at Lichen, then vanished inside the wall.

There was silence... blessed silence... for about maybe ten minutes.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Mystify shrieked, bursting through the ceiling. He stopped about half a meter from the floor, twisting himself into impossible knots and giggling madly. He then sped off to fly laps around the room, overturning the desk Lichen sat at and tossing it onto the bed.
Lichen sighed, banging their head on the den wall a couple of times.
...this would be their life now, apparently. They'd have to eventually find the energy and sanity to fix the desk. Maybe put up something to keep the ghost out... maybe.

It was a twist of fate, perhaps, that years later, a gentle, kind light entered her life. He was sweet, a little awkward, and always tried to help her find peaceful solutions to problems. Osiris was a calming influence, and he seemed to always try to make her happy.
As time went on, Scourge and Osiris grew closer, though Osiris had been smitten with her almost instantly. Osiris' den was like a refuge from the world, where Scourge could drop her guard and relax occasionally.
The scythe blade was icy cold beneath her talons, its bone handle made smooth by several millennia of use. Death's Scythe. The very blade that could sever a soul and steal it from the body. Osiris had warned her not to use it, as it would summon the blade's master, that Death would take her, but she didn't care.
What did she have to lose?
Scourge swung the blade, feeling it slice through the air as though the air itself were nonexistent. She felt only the slightest tug as it cut through the body of a small animal, probably a mouse. A rush of power filled her, and she grinned. The grin faded, however, as she heard the swish of a ragged cloak in the wind behind her.
The Blade, Scourge. Return it to me. The voice hissed.
The fight was over quickly, with Scourge hacking Death himself nearly to pieces.
You fought well... a worthy opponent. He rasped, from where she had him pinned in the grass. He vanished, reappearing a little further away as Scourge turned away from him, silent. She snapped at him to just leave, but the entity stayed where he was.
...As a reward for besting me in combat, I will grant you one wish. Anything. He said, and Scourge went quiet for some time, considering the offer. Her one wish. Then, finally, she knew.
"I wish for my sight."
