Desapercibida, como una ausencia observadora, nos vigila y cuida, casi como una pequeña encarnación de nuestra Madre Plaga. Sus ojos rojos siguen ávidos cada movimiento en el clan y, de alguna manera, ninguna intención o pensamiento escapa a su infinita percepción.

Ella siempre aparecerá cuando el clan la necesita, ella siempre está acá, lista para aconsejar y liderar, para brindar calma y determinación a sus compañeros.

Strangely calm for a Fae, the hyperactivity she doesn't show externally runs through her mind in a perpetual multi-level analysis of what's going on. She's always attentive to the clan members and territory. If there's a real problem or conflict for our clan, she will appear in front of her Fedas and with just a brief movement, she will give orders or sentence, being by far, beside her strength, aspect or size, the most respected known member of the clan.

She is one of the rulers of the clan, the one with a strong and calm (monotone) voice that makes every heart feel the power and love of the Plaguemother itself.

Kwajah co-leads the clan, naturally getting to do all the logistic decisions: studying and deciding upon clan laws, strategies, training methods, budget and even breeding projects in order to select the more apt guardians for the purposes of the clan.

However it would be misguiding to say she decides all by her own: as the clan grow, Kwajah started to ask for insight to clan members that have become experts in their roles. Still Kwajah knows to remain truly neutral and always consider equally relevant every member's opinion, preferring to ask personally in a not-so-formal environment to every involved actor. That way she and Khoja obtain the most honest opinions as the clan members know their words will be taken into consideration for the clan's future decisions, and at the same time makes them permanently close enough to detect any misbehavior before anyone does any harm...

...Well, at least within the fortress' walls.

Both stayed silent, but the tension could have been cut with a knife, as was evident that the Guardian was carefully choosing his words to ask something. Why, if not, could he keep following the swift, elegant steps of the Fae?

-Mother. -He finally talked, as the lady started to flutter towards her personal chambers. -Are those rumors real?

-... -Without looking at him, the leader took her time to answer as they arrived to her room. -Please, elaborate.

Before the Guardian was able to say anything, he found himself into his mother's room, and as she closed the entrance and activated a spell of secrecy, he finally felt confident enough to talk.

-The clan's guardians are growing vicious. Members falling into thirst of power, mindless murder and training horrible lethal arts...

-Enough. -Kwajah fluttered to a shelf and took a parchment. The guardian wasn't surprised, but he saw her smiling, like when she talked with the Plague Mother.

He waited patiently as his leader sat in a desk to do some usual recording work. He closed his eyes and felt calm, such warm calm that was both interrupted and reinforced by her words.

-There's no threat to life in our clan. We all protect life as a single entity, and the priests can probe it. But beware of foreign priests: to spread Fear towards and among us is their work.

He felt calm. Yet both knew distrust would keep its sting in his back.
