The co-founder of the Clan, and leader. He had been on his Search when he met Kanana, the irrepressible young Fae. He took a liking to her immediately, and, unbeknownst to him at the time, she was also to be his Charge. It wasn't long before he identified that instinctual, irresistible urge to protect her, however. With his Search ended, as he'd now found his Charge, he was free to settle down. That done, he agreed to start a Clan with Kanana. It was more her idea than his, but it was an idea that he liked. She didn't want to be a leader, which only left him. He didn't consider himself one to really look for power and authority, but someone would have to lead this new rag-tag Clan, and that someone was him. After all, a Leader should be able to protect his Clan, which he was aptly able to do. Sangue loves hatchlings, and as a result, he and Kanana had many clutches. None of the hatchlings stayed with the Clan to adulthood, which was slightly disappointing to Sangue, but he couldn't make them stay if they wanted to go. They all either threw themselves into the service of a deity, or went to other Clans. He still writes to them from time to time, though he doesn't get as many replies back as he'd like. Most dragons find Sangue and Kanana to be an odd pair, due to the massive size difference, but their love is more emotional than physical.
