Pretzel is one of the founders of the clan. He didn't exactly mean to, it just sort of happened. Now... One of the most important things about Pretzel is that he is terribly forgetful. (He doesn't even remember his own birth name!) Like most Tundra, he doesn't quite hold on to his memory, save for by smell. His strong need to travel and explore doesn't help this, either, and he finds himself lost quite often.

So how did this fella become the founder? Well. Let's put it this way...

Pretzel, terribly lost and searching for the place he used to call home, ran into a Guardian dragon. Though he does not remember her name, he mentioned that she smelled of berries, and thus her new name became Berry. This took... quite the number of conversations before it finally stuck in both of their memories. During one of those conversations, Berry might have dropped a few hints that she may have adopted him as her charge, but, well, who would remember that?

As time went on, Pretzel found himself falling for the lovely Berry - as she fell for him. The two bonded and declared themselves mates and over time, they developed a small clan nestled in the Zephyr Steppes. Wandering dragons, unsure of where else to be, found home in the company of Pretzel and his mate.

That's not to say that he is the leader. Oh, no, most certainly not. Pretzel is a kind fellow with very few words to say. With a soft voice and slow speech pattern, he is more apt to sitting in silence as he listens to others ramble on about their stories. The words he does speak are usually questions, or asking the speaker to continue on with their story, whether or not they had actually completed it. He is far from confrontational, and while that might not be a problem in a clan full of Skydancers and a handful of other wandering dragon species, he does not have what it takes to lead a group. Especially if he can only recognize them by smell and not by name or history!
