To sin is a side effect of humanity. All sin should be forgiven, for a price.

Physical humanity manifests itself beneath her skin, writing like bugs and burrowing amongst her feeble bones. Blessed with the ability to renounce sin, Astora can forgive those of even the most dire of wrongs. The gift leaves her decrepit and aching, robbed of her eyes at birth to better understand the darkness she treats. Despite her physical mutilation, Astora is cheerful and warm to all those her encounter her, though embarrassed of her horrid appearance.

Being practically useless due to her lack of sight and aching bones, she abides within the ancient stone great hall, tending the fires and shriving those who seek out her assistance. Educated and humble, she passes her time reading braille tomes and expanding her knowledge of the world and her plights.

In this barren world there lays a disembodied pair of bloodied pupil-less eyes; often bestowed onto dragons with similar stature. Eventually, she hopes to acquire these for herself and view the world she is progressively atoning.
