Pearl
Mother of the Frightening Family

A summary for those who wish not to read the lore, but wish to understand the dragon and her attire:
She dresses in such warm clothing because she lives within an icy cold forest, her only protection being fire and her companions.
She has a Winter Wolf familiar because that same beast attacked her in the forest, leaving her cursed with children who no one would look at due to their ghostly appearance.
She cannot leave the forest due to her lack of flying abilities, as she was not taught as a young child due to uncaring parents.
She only births children with a single partner because they are isolated, and wish to create a very large family that they both care for and love, to leave behind a worthy legacy.

Pearl was born a child with uncaring parents, those who would hush her as she spoke, and push her away as she asked kindly for assistance. Despite this, she made her best efforts to remain a calm and courteous child, understanding that her parents were busy organizing the clan and feeding her siblings, who got the attention she longed for. Due to this lack of attention, she was never granted the correct knowledge needed to fly, and could not lift her body off the ground no matter how hard she tried.

As her adulthood came about, her parents played a treacherous trick on her which left her in an icy wood without warmth, care or shelter. She was lost and stranded for days, wandering around in search for any leaves at all, but all to be found were frozen solid or had been killed many months ago. She feared the winter in the forest would never cease, and knew her remaining options were to fly her way out, despite not having the ability to.

After these days of wandering, and wondering where she should venture and how she should fly,
she came across a small cave lit with fire. Her instinct was to immediately run for the warmth,
she had been born an ice dragon but was never used to the weather which came with it,
as she ran toward the flames, another dragon appeared from behind a rock. The dragon did not seem harmful, in fact he seemed quite kind and charming upon first glance, and Pearl spent her next few months getting to know the dragon.

Her time in the woods not only terrified her, but gave her an incentive to live on, she knew then what her legacy must be. And so, as the two dragons grew close to each other, they both started sharing similar thoughts on their futures. They were to create a very large family, and be sure to feed them all equally, they would care for them and give them warmth in the icy forest.

Shortly after, Pearl was faced with a curse, given to her by a wild Winter Wolf who happened to see the fire as he was wandering the woods. He ran toward it with such speed that Pearl could only sheild Crystalwing, and not herself, and the Winter Wolf bit her and whispered words as he did so. Her curse was to be that she would never create a child who wasn't ghost-like and terrifying. She would only conceive children who had pale, white skin and white eyes, those who, if the dragons finally made it out of the forest, anyone would be terrified of.

So Pearl and Crystalwing decided never to leave the cold forest, and so her family started growing, the two dragons learned to love each other and care for eachother, just as they did their new children. And though their first children did not have the pale eyes which were suggested, this was because they were born near a river, and were given bright blue eyes for that. Her next children were born with the same white eyes, though, and even she was slightly scared of them.
