Someone spilled an awful lot of ketchup on this poor boy. Tsk, tsk! Shame!

It can hardly be believed that the twisted Fey known as Gore was once a completely sane and ordinary young dragon named Blank. In fact, she was once bright and cheerful, a genuinely happy young creature.

Born into a colony of Fey, Blank was an albino - her scales lacked all colouring. This strangeness made many wary of her, but she belied there fears with her sunny personality. Her parents died early in her youth, but she grew up alongside many friends, never left wanting for company or support.

Her positive temperament made her an ideal choice to be trained as a healer. She genuinely desired to help others, and had a natural aptitude for such work. Though lacking magical ability, she displayed a talent for traditional healing methods, including surgery, burn treatment, wound treatment, and bone-setting. She had very nearly completed her training when the world that she loved was destroyed.

The colony of Fey was attacked by beasts. Majestic structures were destroyed, valuable resources were stripped, and innocent dragons were slaughtered by the hundreds. Few were left alive - none could be saved. Drenched in the blood of her clan mates, surrounded by their corpses, Blank’s psyche shattered. All traces of that cheerful, positive young dragon were gone - all that remained was a cruel, cold, and completely empty shell.

It was only far later, once the chaos had subsided, that Gore discovered that her wings and body had been stained permanently with red. It was then that she took her new name. Her ruined home no longer held any meaning, so she simply left it behind.

Finding a new clan was easy - trained medics were a valuable resource. As she toiled, however, she came to a chilling realization. She enjoyed the pain of others, of prolonging procedures and watching her patients bleed. She enjoyed her own pain, testing blades and needles on her own flesh. It was her secret, but no secret can be kept forever.

Suspicion and mistrust fomented among the members of the clan, escalating from harsh words to physical violence. Still, Gore left without major incident - she had never actually been caught.

Another clan brought with it a new secret. A living prisoner, held in her cave, tortured slowly over many months until at last he succumbed to death. Then, a second prisoner, dismembered quickly. Then a third, driven insane without a single physical injury, brutally taking his own life.

She was caught in the act of disposing of his corpse. Caught, but not for long. Escape was simple. Finding a new clan was simpler still.

The Clan of Second Chances had need of a medic, and Gore was very much the medic that it deserved. Her sadistic treatment methods, though subtle, could not be hidden from her fellow monsters. Discovery, however, did not mean ostracism. Instead, she was allowed to take a prisoner, an outsider dragon to torture in lieu of her own patients.

When she ended his life (a mercy killing), she had every intention of finding a replacement. But rather than a disposable toy, she found Landslide. The Tundra enjoys every moment of her torture, every moment of the pain that she inflicts. She has decided to destroy him slowly, impossibly slowly, drawing out her pleasure as well as his own. He is her most valuable prize yet, and she has no intention of wasting his life.

Despite the Tundra's claims to the contrary, Gore chose Landslide to be her mate. She views him as the ideal subject for her most subtle form of torture - his laziness and greed make him the perfect target.

She knows that his affection for her and trust in her is completely genuine - a rare and precious relationship among Unrepentant dragons, a treat worth savouring. His amorous behaviour is riddled with clichés, but is more flattering than she will admit. She knows full well that he intends to be unfaithful. She also knows that once she's finished with him, no other dragon will ever want him again.

If she just so happens to fall in love with her victim, then so much the better. Ultimately, there is no pain which she desires more than her own.

Her relationship with Nightshade is notable for its complexity - though she holds professional respect for such a knowledgeable and sadistic poisoner, she loathes treating the persistent illnesses that she knows full well are the results of his meddling.

It should be noted that even the bravest among the Unrepentant dragons are reluctant to be treated by Gore - they know of her twisted mind, know of the pleasure she derives from their suffering. However, they have learned better than to hide their injuries from her - such deceit only makes her procedures all the more painful, as she seeks to discipline them for their foolishness.

Some Unrepentant dragons hope that a new medic will join their clan, but many are content with Gore as she is. It is clear that despite her sadistic tendencies, she is highly skilled and incredibly knowledgeable. She provides the Clan of Second Chances with medical care of the highest quality - they merely have to suffer for it.
