A single egg lay in a burnt nest, covered in ash and dirt. The smell of ash and smoke rose in the air, a single blue nocturne walked up to the last egg left inside the stomped and tattered nest, the egg clearly missed but slightly cracked. "Fire flight..." he muttered, looking at the green egg with a sigh. He picked the egg up and put it inside a satchel, leaving the ash and dust stirred up on the ground, never to return to the place of mourning that was once a clan of happiness.

The nocturne safely returned the egg to a cave, where he had lived for a while. His make shift nest was enough to help the egg hatch, into a beautiful imperial female. He named her Autumn, the season he found her in, just like when he was found, he was named Frost because of the frosty weather outside. At first glance she was no different than any imperial, but, after getting to know this special dragon, he realized that she had powers that very few dragons could harness. Healing. Autumn studied and observed magic from all different dragon types, keeping tabs on all the types of miraculous things shes seen and done. Though, some forms of dragons cannot produce such magic as some, many can, however, produce health magic by transferring their aura's power to another being's body by concentration and rituals. "You are not like the rest I have taught, my dear." Frost said to her, in his calm and soothing voice. "You have a very powerful aura, and though I cannot see auras like you can, I can still feel them." He gave the young girl and tap on the snout. "Very special indeed." Years passed as Autumn continued with her studies, learning more about her strange powers and what they could potentially harness. "Autumn." Frost said as he sat the female down. "I need to tell you about your parents." He spoke as if very serious and genuine. Autumn did not speak but nodded her head. "You see, your father and I were very good friends. We worked together on magic, just like me and you do. But we discovered something dark and very powerful inside him, Autumn. Your mother, was a beautiful enchantress. She did things that I did not like, but all the same, we were like family." Frost breathed deeply and exhaled sharply. "Then, your mother and father finally had a nest of their own. Their was three eggs. You, along with two others that passed away when the fire flight attack your mother and father's clan. They did their best to make sure they did not have any offspring that could harness the same powers your father could. But they hid you, and gave their lives to protect you." Autumn could've sworn she saw a tears in his eyes. She felt heartbroken, never knowing her real parents. Her heart hurt but had some clarity knowing her history. "When I got there I searched every inch of the clan. The only survivor was you. I took you home." He paused and took out a gold and black crystal with a gold chain attached to it. "This is for you, Autumn. It was your father's secret. It can hold your entire life for you. Or, it can destroy it." He said clasping the necklace around her. "Use it wisely and study it carefully" He smiled at her. "Be more than your father ever could be." |
