MEET VERIS

____Hi.I'm Veris, at your service. I hear you want to know something about me?
I have a bit of time. Rusty's off with Neirin. You want to know my tale? Sit down. Don't worry about the Clan, they won't mind. Visitors are common enough anyways.

____I'm not what you would call a typical Clanmate. See, I used to be a part of a band of vigilantes. We were a good group.
Fun too. There were five of us- me, our leader, three others, all Wildclaws, my pack. We'd go about, hunt down any criminals lurking around. Some bounty hunting. Trapping. That kind of thing. Then we found this group of monsters, nasty things, going after these two poor youngsters. We didn't know about the dragonets at the time, but we went after the others and found one of them in the cave after we'd chased 'em off. Two, really, but one of 'em was killed. Rusty- red kid with green wings, see him over there? Poor lad had to snap his sister's neck, put her out of her misery. Blacked out in the sky when he went to fly off. We flew him home, and I figured I might stay behind to make sure he'd be OK. This clan's pretty nice, he's a good kid, there's no other Wildclaws here aside from his mum- I figured I might stick around for a bit, get to know the Clan, help keep 'em safe while they're new. 'Course, my pack's still round here somewhere, and I like to fly out with them when they stop by- we're still friends, naturally, and maybe someday I'll get Rusty to join us and we can go and travel 'round a bit, see the Wildwoods and such. Until then I'm happy to stick here and help the guy out.
