She turned her attention to literature and research but found those pursuits to be unsatisfying. Eventually, after trying her hand at a variety of crafts she discovered that she had her father's skill with metal. With the help of Iceflow's construction team, she created her own forge and has been happily plying her trade ever since. Most of her work is simple and small scale on a day to day basis but she does larger projects for commission as well as struts, piping. Many dragons in the lair rely on her talents and, from her contributions to the armory Silesia has become firm friends with the coliseum trainer Echidna and her charge Leo. Once she was the only blacksmith in the lair, but the arrival of a pearlcatcher named Akeldama changed that. He too was practiced in the art of shaping metal, and had wandered through the lair to sell his armor and weapons. While Silesia's work was functional for battle, Akeldama's was of another caliber completely. Understanding this was not a talent to let pass them by, both Silesia and Echidna conspired to convince Akeldama to stay. It didn't take much convincing and with Iceflow's help, Silesia expanded her forge to accommodate her new business partner. Due to the nature of her work, Silesia also works closely with Iceflow and his team, as well as Hazmat. She only grudgingly puts up with Hazmat's co-worker, Contaminant, as he is in charge of the pipes. That being said, she will never take work orders from him directly, and will often find a way to make herself scarce if he's looking to talk to her about materials needed for one of his new projects. |
