Ziri and his mate are one of the few dragons in the clan who didn't mysteriously 'wander into the scrub.' They cam her with a purpose, to return to Liraz' birthplace and pay their respects to Bossdad. Their previous clan, known for breeding and raising dragons, found they had little use for the copper pair anymore so they took it as a chance to retire, soon finding themselves meting a band of curious scholars, inventors, alchemists, and artists living together at the bottom of a quarry so they might narrowly escape 'real work.' Ziri thought it was a bad idea, staying with them, but he could see Liraz found new life and excitement with these younger dragons so here they stayed.

In nature, Ziri tends to be a bit of a grumpy old man. While he's not really that old compared to other dragons of Sorinth, for this clan he is practically and elder and is happy to play the part. His distaste for certain clan members came from the way they judge other ways of life. Sabrina with her hatred of hatcheries and hatchery dragons, Drath with his inability to cooperate with other imperials, even the tundras with their desperate need to have hatchlings trained before they leave the nest. He wants to tell them to have faith that their hatchlings are more resilient than that, but instead he just grumbles a bit and seeks out his mate.
