Golomaud was an abandoned egg, having laid dormant for so long her parents had thought she was not strong enough to break her shell and had died. They did not believe an egg could stay unhatched for decades until it was safe, which it was not as her birth clan was in a bloody feud with a neighboring one. The pale egg was left under a great oak after months of waiting, and stayed there, nature egg blending into the roots.

In this world there is a severely minor god known as the wishmaker, it is said they take the form of many dragons, but mostly tundras and always as gold as the sun. Goldys egg was found by them, and hatched in their care after much pushing on the wishmakers part. The normally misanthrope god actually turned out to be rather clingy towards the egg. They had never had the chance to be a parent in their mortal life.

She was raised by them, though the golden fur can be deceiving the wishmaker was nowhere near a good and just goddess. Teaching the small, oddly colored tundra hatchling darker magic when it was shown she had the aptitude for it. When she came of age like all of the other wishmakers disciples and their descendants before her. She was blessed with golden fur in their image after completing her training. She was sent off into the world, with only a cloak and her amulet. Joining with the caravan. Having been attracted to the scent of death that followed them wherever they went.

Golden dragons are few and far between. It is considered an honor to have one in a clan, as they are normally practiced in life magic. Whether that be just healing, or the more dark necromancy. Golomaud was skilled in both, thought rarely ever used the latter. That side of her is known but she refuses to teach her students necromancy, No matter how hard quincy and his daughter Inlustris beg. She knows the pain of bringing a loved one back and having them not be all there.
