Perla has been the headmistress of the Opal Academy for well over fifty years and she shows no signs of giving up her post. Students and staff alike can attest to her dedication and drive, as well as her infamous temper.

Perla often found herself thinking like her mother and it always threw her for a loop: Isn't it a consequence of age to go 'back in my day'? She shuddered at the thought.

Artemis placed a cup of tea in front of her, her burrow furrowed. "Is something wrong?"

"Am I getting too old?" She wondered out loud, not realizing she had done so until she heard her wife's laughter.
