Come from a poor farming family on the outskirts of The Ashfall Wastes, Ferali was sure she had made it when she stumbled upon the newborn kingdom and gullible but gentle king, Imperium. She spun a tale of her royal blood, and he quickly took her on as a lover, certain he had found a queen worthy of his status. He was always good to her, respectful and flattering; he often gave her gifts and jewels, and she could be no happier.

The people of the kingdom adored her. They admired her position, and respected her generous and friendly attitude. They relished her with gold and worshiped at her feet, clawing for time to spend with her. She adored the attention, and grew quickly used to invitations to parties and festivals beyond anything she had ever imagined living with her family.

But their lands quickly fell to ruins when a Shade plagued dragon wandered through, leaving their sickness behind, and Imperium hardly lifted a claw to fix it. He huddled within his castle, forcing her to do the same, and hid while everything outside fell to chaos. She could do little to help them, watching her loving subjects drop like flies or fall to madness and rage. She was of the opposing force when Imperium tried to turn them on each other in an effort to control the sickness.

In the end, they had to flee, and let the ruined kingdom to its own devices. She often wonders what became of that land, but knows she could never go back there. She has become bitter and jaded since their arrival in the filthy, chaotic Sheep Clan; it is a place Imperium chose, and she just did not have to heart to fight him over it. Their disconnect seems to grow every day, and inwardly Ferali regrets choosing such a weak-spined lover.

As a guardian, her charge is a bracelet gifted to her by a peon many years ago. It is a simple, ruby bracelet, but she has a strong emotional attachment to the place it came from. She wears it at all time, and will not hesitate to guard it with her life.
