Raku

One of the more arrogant members of the clan, perhaps the most openly so, Raku is little pleasure to talk to. He can be charismatic and at times even helpful, but only if one is willing to put up with however many half-veiled barbs he can possibly toss into one conversation. A master at wordplay and backhanded compliments, he delights in tearing down others and often seems to be searching for a reason to do so. His verbal attacks aren't necessarily unprovoked, but he is suspiciously quick to take something personally. Those he considers friends are subject to even harsher jabs, but only as a means of bonding.

He has a genuine love of learning, and in being a more scholarly dragon was naturally drawn to Brunnen. He now follows the snapper nearly everywhere, becoming a daily tagalong. The pearlcatcher is much kinder to Brunnen than he is to other dragons, and much kinder to Brunnen's companion-turned-scribe Panas as well, proving that he has at least some idea of respect.
