The Shade found this poor child.

Not in the way it holds her father loosely around his throat, but in the way that wanted revenge for the way he held it. A Shade abomination crept into Prometheus' nest just as dawn was breaking, and tore her stomach open.

Her parents heard the screaming and tore from their den like wildfire. While her father dispelled the Shade and absorbed it into his collection, her mother tried to save her baby. Her liver was Shadetouched, and the skin of her belly was too dark to save.

Her father wrapped her Shadetouched liver in protective magic, and her mother built her a new belly made of ice. All day, the Shade would eat at the magic, until daybreak chased it away and it would need to be cast anew. It hurt her terribly, but it was all her parents could do to keep her alive. A new liver would simply become Shadetouched and die, as well.

So Prometheus learned the magic to keep herself alive from a very young age. On top of her native Plague magic, her mother taught her Ice as well, just in case her belly was broken. The only good thing about her Shadetouched organ was that it allowed her to sense the Shade wherever it was, from miles and miles away.

And so her began to stalk it, and with her mothers help, learned to kill the thing that kept her in agony.

Prometheus' constant, chronic pain makes her more than a little bit irritable, and prone to lashing out on particularly bad days. She tends to be choosy about who she spends time with, and it would not be uncommon for her to be called rude.

She is an exceptional Shade hunter, and she knows it. Her knowledge in the area is unparalleled, alongside her knowledge of many different kinds of magic. Offensive spells, defensive casting, all the way to stitching wounds back together with ice. Her prowess often goes to her head, and she can act arrogant or off-putting. She knows this and tries to keep it in check, but sometimes it gets a little out of her hands.

Despite her condition, she is a rather proud dragon, proud of what she's been though and what she's survived. There's nothing anyone can say to put her down, but her attitude can often times be smothering. She doesn't see this as a problem, and believes she has every right to be as confident as she is, which she does. Most just wish she was a little quieter about it.

She has perfected the use of the spear as her hunting weapon, and its blade and shaft are covered in runes holding strong magic to trap the Shade. She has to reapply the magic at the same rate as the magic protecting her liver, and keeping her belly frozen.
