.. As a child, Chihiro would sit atop the cliffs surrounding the Starfall Isles and observe in wonder as glowing meteors and falling stars rained down into the sea. He marveled at how mysterious the ocean was, how it cultivated life, but could take life as well. During storms, when glowing energies and magic danced across the skies and the water frothed like an angry monster, Chihiro would stand on the beach and watch. He knew it was dangerous, but he was too enamored with the fury of the sea. Maybe a part of him hoped that the waves would sweep him off his feet and show him the abyss.

Days turned to weeks, and weeks melted into months. Eventually Chihiro felt ready to leave his homeland. He had been studying at the Crystalspine Reaches for a while now, and it was time to set upon a great exploration to further his understanding of Sornieth. It was no surprise that he felt a pull towards the sea, and so, he left. The Tidelord granted him fins and gills so that he might travel the currents, and allowed him to remain in the Spiral Keep to study the variety of sea life.

He now resides under the surface, whispering prophecies that only the Sea of a Thousand Currents will hear. Water, alive and turbulent, churns overhead. Pressure builds up in his ears, but he's used to it now. The Spiral Keepis home to him - he always finds himself making the precarious journey back. The ocean longingly calls his name when he leaves, and it's waves cling to his legs, pulling him back into the depths. Chihiro may possess the physical mark of the Arcanist, but his heart and soul belong to the open and wild sea.
