AMORTENTIA CASALE
FRUSTRATED - CARING - CALM - FRIENDLY
Not wanting to abandon her to strangers, Amortentia is her mother’s personal attendant and foretelling apprentice. She is an incredibly caring dragon, having sacrificed most of her life at the bedside of an agoraphobic mother, but she is prone to rare and unannounced stints of anger as she tries to deal with stress. Still, she is usually calm and friendly, when she feels safe enough to leave her and her mother’s chambers.

Faced with being the youngest of the Casale house and the only one left to pick up the pieces (with her oldest siblings leaving the castle and Astro being unable to think of anything else but magic), Amortentia quickly latched onto her mother for attention, and with time it morphed into a desperate attempt to care for her and lead her to get better, maybe leave her quarters…

To Amortentia’s credit, they have done some progress in the decades, and she knows that she can leave whenever she wants and no-one will fault her for it, but after so long, she has grown used to the strange routine she has built. The situation still doesn’t stop weighing on her shoulders, however, nor does the knowledge that Fosca’s demise is fated to come from within the clan.

To say that Fosca taught Amortentia divination would require Fosca to teach something, but nothing of the sort ever happened. Amortentia was just born with a similar power to her mother, although less ill spirited: Amortentia can predict most things from tea leaves, but her strongest area is relationships- many come to visit asking if they will find their soulmate while gathering, or if their fathers are proud of them, or if their enemies will let up for a while. She just smiles, and shoulders the weight of the answers.
