Pirouette

Pirouette is named for her habit of dancing and spinning through the air everywhere she goes. She's quite the sweet, delicate little sylph, and having her come dancing through on a wisp of song lifts everyone's spirits.

5/10/14 -- Pirouette has fallen prey to the Andriora Heartbreaker. Minuet, ArctisTor's steady bedbuddy, has explained to her in no uncertain terms that no matter what promises Arctis makes, and how sincere he really seems this time, it never lasts. His feelings are not ungenuine, but monogamy is not in his nature. Piri says she understands and is just enjoying a fling, but the way she looks at Arctis says otherwise, and all anyone can do is watch the train wreck.

7/5/14 -- Well, she's honestly hung on longer than anyone else, but the inevitable has occurred. Pirouette has caught on that ArctisTor has never been truly faithful to her. Nobody wants her to leave, but she feels it's really best for her to seek a new clan.

7/6/14 -- Pirouette's new life in the Gladeveins begins. Something in her gentle, bruised demeanor moved the usually reserved Eglanteria, who was quick to invite her into the clan. The two have already settled into a habit of retiring to the canopies of the forest to consume cups of steaming, syrup-sweet nectar.

8/29/14 -- Although time hasn't eradicated the sting the way she hoped it would, the pain is no longer as fresh as it once was. Pirouette has decided that maybe, just maybe, she might be ready to give this whole love business another shot.

9/3/14 -- Seeking to escape from the dismal air that hangs about the ruling family tonight, Piri takes herself off to the far corner of the forest, where the fruit still hangs heaviest and travelers are known to walk the roads. So it is that she finds herself conversing with Isaiah, a wandering Skydancer. While not exactly forthcoming about himself, he's kindly, articulate, and not unwilling to share tales of the distant Icefield he once called home. It just doesn't seem right to leave him to the cold, early autumn night when there are so many empty spaces to be filled in the lair.

Much to her delight, he accepts the offer.

10/5/14 -- Although the growing bond between Pirouette and Isaiah is apparent to anyone who witnesses it, both are taking pains to be as discreet as possible...treating their new relationship as something tentative, fragile, and infinitely precious.

Still, it's been a long while since Piri had something to sing about. Now, when the wisps of wind come whistling through the canopy, she no longer hesitates to lift up her voice alongside them.

11/23/14 -- The pair's first clutch of eggs is a large one. The clans have their sayings about large clutches and how they come about...Piri, while not necessarily denying any of these, would point out that her first nest was a sizable one as well.

It's really all irrelevant to the main point, which is that she and Isaiah have four gorgeous new hatchlings under their wings.

5/5/16 -- Every once in a great while, Piri will joke about the past. Always in a soft, unbiting way, and usually to Elganteria. Tiny claws curled around her cup of nectar, she'll smile into the steam and say how silly it all was.

She never has a truly vicious word to say about him...neither does she ever belittle herself. Why would she?

Life is good.
