BIOGRAPHY

You wouldn't expect a dragon born in the Cloudscrape Crags to have a warm and loving personality, but Shalev does. Pushed out of the nest by a jealous younger sister, he wandered around in the cold for days. He had not yet learned to hunt, and as hunger set in, a burning pit in his stomach, it was then that he began to fear for his life. Weakened by starvation, he collapsed in a snow bank, his tiny body about to be buried by snow, when he was rescued at the last minute by Catastrina, who had been visiting her former home.

She took the young hatchling to the Grotto, and under the watchful eyes of Twig and Branch, Shalev grew into a fine young Coati. The other dragons teased him about being a prince because his gembond was patterned like a crown on his head, but not knowing where he came from or who his parents were, Shalev had nothing to say that would confirm or deny his heritage.

Shalev soon found out that he was empathic. More than that, he was gifted with "bubble" empathy. He could control the mood of dragons around him, making it match his own, but he also would become effected by the dragons around him. This power exhausts him, as it would exhaust anyone, and Shalev often wonders which emotions are his own. What is nice, though, is that his beautiful, sunny laugh can cheer up any dragons around him, which makes him a very happy Coati indeed.

Personality
Shalev is selfless to the extreme, and a hard worker by nature. Though he really has no set job in the clan, he helps out wherever possible. Due to his rough start, he is naturally weaker than other dragons, and has never been able to gain enough weight to be considered healthy. He really loves to make other dragons laugh, and his joyful, tinkling giggles are known to cheer anyone up in an instant. 		3hz05Cj.png
