the librarian - they/it

Curious and a little taciturn, Astureon is, truth be told, more interested in acquiring information than in dispensing it. This hobby becomes a little complicated to pursue when you, by nature, have access to all the information in the Casparnian Library.

Thus, Astureon took to traveling like a Nocturne to mimicry, scouring Sornieth for new sources of knowledge.

Though they hardly consider themself a specialist in any field, they do have a fondness for the art of the recipe - they have been traveling with Mocha for a long time, after all.

"This dragon is a Librarian. They were created at the Casparnian Library by Ursa in the hopes that they would work to spread the knowledge contained in the library to the far reaches of Sornieth. Instead of being flesh and blood they are metal and canvas granted artificial life by a combination of arcane and lightning magic. Their pearl is no pearl at all; it contains the wealth of information that the library contains. Every text, every artifact, and every work of literature can be accessed when Astureon holds the pearl in their hands. Despite their material differences, they have a consciousness like any other dragon, just with boundless information at their fingertips.

Librarians are dragon-shaped mechanical golems. Their hide is made of canvas stretched over a detailed metal frame, hand crafted by the scientists working at the hewn library. They were created to spread information to all the corners of Sornieth by traveling and finding clans to stay at. Their pearls hold unbelievable amounts of information, which they can access through touching them. In this way, the librarian acts as a portable library. Some may make their homes in permanent clans, and some may travel from place to place. They are as conscious as any other dragon, though they possess a huge amount of knowledge because their pearls are connected to the central library."
