Kakkab
Mate

Greenroot Janustrap
Dragons unfamiliar with Shattered Constructs may be rendered speechless the first time they meet Cerena; after all, she is nothing much but blood and bone. Despite such a ghastly appearance made possible by Plague magic, Cerena is anything but grim and ghoulish in personality and mannerism. Virtually vestigial hands and feet as well as the lack of properly working vocal chords do little to impair her ability to express herself, though it takes a quite a while to master accurately interpreting her erratic movements. Her favorite way to express affection is to wrap herself as tightly as possible around her target; Kakkab is often covered in blood smears as a result.

Like a mother snake, Cerena guards the hatchlings and eggs closely by either whirling above or encircling each nest in turns. The perpetually plastered grin on her face belies her true ferocity towards any would-be predators or egg thieves. When hatchlings of the lair are chosen by the Plaguebringer through Kerrigan to be exalted, the Spiral often locks herself away in her lair for an entire day out of sorrow. Almost every dragon of the lair has gone through her care, whether directly her offspring or not, and as such it pains her to see them go. A favorite activity of hers to do with every youngling of the lair is to read them frightening tales.

With her in mind, Kakkab designed and dug the Swarm's Lair carefully to suit her specie's tendency to lodge themselves into tight crevices. Because of this, most clanmates jump in surprise to suddenly see Cerena appear or "squeeze" into the room due to the many interconnecting "pipes" throughout the subterranean walls.
