Biography

Clan master healer

Like her now-exalted father, Samael, Lailah is very interested in disease. She doesn't go quite as far as to purposefully infect other dragons to study it, but as many familiars can attest, she sometimes comes quite close. Since she noticed that now-exalted Mitusalen's reputation as a dangeous heretic (since he believed that the Gladekeeper and the Plaguebringer were two aspects of the same goddess) had somewhat damaged his ability to get a good deal at the marketplace, Lailah has quietly taken it upon herself to shop for the reagents that the clan need to continue their alchemic and medicinal experiments.

While she's a gentle soul and a soft-spoken mate, she's more resiliant than it first appears. Xingfu, who bumbled into the clan as its first properly adopted hatchling, owes his successful placing in the clan to the now-exalted Sabathiel, Lailah's mother. The two nearly grew up together, and would nearly have reminded Selkynn and Baenre of their first son- Antozshe- and their first adopted hatchling- the now-exalted Bellatrix- had not Xingfu been so difficult to contain. When Lailah spent a half hour combing out the puff at the end of her tail, Xingfu would stick leaves into it. When she set an experiment aside to attend to it the next day. Xingfu would be sure to move it- although he would place it very carefully in a location where it wasn't likely to be ruined.

Fortunately, Lailah's humor seems to run along Xingfu's lines, and she gives as good as she gets. Xingfu has to purposefully wake up early in order to find his banner, as Lailah has almost always stashed it somewhere that it doesn't belong. He has to look up all over the lair for his food, as it is usually stashed somewhere above his head- fully prepared and plated, and in danger of being tipped over on top of him if he isn't cautious. The two practical jokers are inseparable when they are both in the lair, and everyone agrees that they will make beautiful- if a bit rambunctious- hatchlings.
