"Blitz... what's going on?"

Dazed, Lucir reaches her left arm up to rub her head. Her vision is foggy, out of focus, and her breathing is shallow. She tries to stand, but falls backwards with a grunt.

{Lucir... whatever you do, don't take off this bandage, please. I don't want you fainting again.}

Memories flood back and the Wildclaw slowly shakes her head. "Flamecaller, what did I do to deserve this..."

The night before, Lucir had been hunting for prey as is normal for Wildclaws. She'd caught the scent of a full sized Celestial Antelope, a rare sight in her area and a delicacy like no other. She soon tracked it towards Lightning territory, but noticed her mistake long after the rough earth beneath her claws turned to sand, and the sky above grew dark with a brewing storm. Hungry and frustrated, she'd begun to make her way back...

*CRACK*

Lightning struck the ground only a few meters from where she stood, blinding her as something chomped down hard on her right arm. She held back a scream as she fought off her mystery attacker in near darkness, the only light coming from spires in the distance and the occasional glint of lightning. Eventually she'd ripped her limb from the maw of the mystery beast, which hissed in obvious disgust and ran off before she could confirm what it was. Her arm ripped to shreds and nearly dangling from her shoulder, she felt her vision wane from blood loss and she fell to the ground, unconscious.

Do not burn away the path you walk, for you will be left with nothing.
