Originally from the Southern Icefield, Ribaia left his home in pursuit of his dreams to become a famous dancer known throughout all Sornieth. His old friends mocked him, saying that there was no way he'd make it, even if he was considered good in his small clan, but it's different everywhere else. How could he possibly think he'd get anywhere with a dream like that? Ribaia, however, scoffed and told them that of course he'd make it, he's an amazing dancer, how else is he supposed to get noticed if he doesn't try? And so he left and never went back. He began by dancing in small taverns, on the streets, anywhere that he could grab someone's attention and impress and charm them enough into giving him money. At one tavern, he was noticed by a spiral, who introduced herself as Thore, and told him that he was incredible and beautiful, both of which he said he already knew. She just laughed and offered him a place to stay, when he told her that he didn't have anywhere to go, which is how he ended up staying with Ausha's clan. He hadn't intended to stay permanently, but then he met Eirwen, and well, she was so beautiful and talented and so much like him that he couldn't leave unless she came with him. After all, life on the road is rather lonely. But she simply laughed and told him she wasn't fond of traveling, so he decided to stay. |

When Ribaia made it clear that he didn't intend to leave, Ausha said he could stay, if he, like Eirwen, worked as an entertainer. Ribaia gladly accepted the position and revelled in the opporunity to show off his skills. He and Eirwen often work together and peform duets and help each other with their routines, which is great for them, but, well, not so much for others. ("Why do they have to practice near the training grounds?" "Because they're both imperials and they're huge. Do you want them to bring the whole lair down?" "But they can fit in the lair!" "Not when they're dancing and moving around a lot.") When he isn't working on something for the clan, he's earning money at the bazaars with his talents or going out and auditioning in attempts to get noticed by bigger and better clans. Since it's Ribaia, Ausha and Dak don't take offense to that. Argok, however, absolutely does. |

Ribaia is very aware of how good a dancer he is and that he is very aesthetically pleasing. He makes sure to remind everyone though, just in case they forgot. ("How can we when you remind us, every day?" "Exactly." "Ugh.") Due to his role and working close with Eirwen, the two become rather close. Eirwen becomes his best friend, and while Ribaia does have feelings for her, he is also aware of her crush on Hyorinmaru. Normally, he'd just throw all caution to the wind, because he's beautiful and talented and of course they want me, and just tell her how he feels, but Eirwen is different. He truly feels for her in a way he hasn't felt about anyone. So he says nothing and instead takes on the role of her best friend. Though that doesn't mean he's exactly polite to Hyorinmaru whenever the mysterious imperial decides to show his stupid face. He still flirts with other girls though. He's got a reputation to keep, after all. |
