192.png Tahae's parents were thieves in the City of Shadow, a crumbling infrastructure perilously close to the Hewn City. While it used to keep the darkness at bay on faith and one of the largest collection of Light Paladins in the territory. After the paladin group was disbanded, however, the City of Light lost its title, too. Tahae grew up with the shadows at his claws as he trotted through the city, and grew all too comfortable with them.
The shadows led him to explore the city on his own. Though thinking of his own volition, he did not know he was guided by unseen hands to a library thought long since destroyed: the old paladin's library in the destroyed castle. By day he poured over tomes once locked away and forbidden. By night he would take the books home, and read over them. One book he found, he could even try out the magics inside- they were forbidden nature tomes. 261.png
255.png These, thanks to his unusual green eyes caused by imported nesting material, were his favorite. These were magics of rot and decay, of fungus that stole and took over and sickened. Of parasites and perishing. This, he thought, would make his parents see that he could be just as ruthless as they were. Just as lucrative at their line of work. Unfortunately, it horrified them. He managed to steal one of his tomes before he was sent away, to find a new home- and more wholesome reading material.
