Year 4 Teacher
Teachers teach hatchlings for the first few years of their lives. Vale especially excels in geography and ice and physical attacks. "You wake up in the gray hours between midnight and dawn. The cold creeps down your back, the covers kicked off forever ago." Vale is a hardy, young soul with lots of wisdom to give. He lives to utilize his knowledge for the better, but can pack an icy punch if need be. He shares his Runes and breed with both parents, ripple with his mother and peregrine with his father. - Likes: Jewels, Treasure, Cold, Mountains, Poetry - Dislikes: The Beastclans, Centaurs, Heat - Secret(s): ? - According to the Sornieth Floriography Guide, Jungle Lilies stand for return of happiness. - His hedgehog is named Nisco. Nisco is a small, cowardly thing who moves very slowly. - Headcanon Voice / Headcanon Singing - He might appear cold-hearted, but in truth he's a rather kind, polite imperial. However, he experiences problems connecting with others and feeling empathy. - Vale wanted to become a bounty hunter and follow in Leora's footsteps when he was a hatchling, but he found his strengths in teaching and Leora advised him to go for it. - Before giving up his dream of becoming a bounty hunter, Vale would train in the early morning. This is the reason why he's so strong. - Vale seems to express discomfort in warm weather and usually stays inside during summer. - At first, his ice-like patterns were believed to be purely cosmetic. However, as he grew older, they grew colder. This condition doesn't seem to harm anyone or himself, but it is advised not to hug him for too long. - He is very cold to the touch. He is especially cold around his snout, chest, wings, tail, claws, and any furry parts he may have. This has made intimacy a bit difficult, especially if whoever he's touching is aligned with the nature, plague, or water flights or elements. - Vale is a great singer! He doesn't like to show it though. - Should one of his students perform horribly on something, he'll blame himself. - Frequently, he feels hungry. He likes his food cold and will almost always refuse to eat something charred. Origin Story Vale was stolen, along with two siblings, from the nest of his loving Imperial parents by a centaur herd. Their eggs were thrown into a pit, so when they would hatch they would starve and become a Prince, an Emperor of Imperial hatchlings. However after three days, Leora, a bounty hunter with a mission to destroy a Prince, its creator and destroy the bodies of the dead Imperial hatchlings, burst into camp. She fulfilled her mission quickly, and took Vale back to Dümelleevi. Tourmaline, being the caretaker and knowing his mother, took her as one of her own. While he lacked motherly affection and a mother until he met Tourmaline, he developed more oddly. Affection and friendly gestures confused him a bit, and he didn't like to be touched, but that seemed to be it. He was enrolled into Dümelleevi Academy in Year One and was a fantastic student that excelled in just about everything. He would spend his later years following Leora around, assisting her on the rare occasion when she would let him, and studying. He had wanted to become a bounty hunter like his idol and savior, but later expressed interests in teaching. He took an apprenticeship under Icespitter and trained until he was placed as the year four teacher.
