Icespitter (Real Name: Cyprian)
Year 5 Teacher, Librarian
Boasting impressive magic expertise and a large collection of books and history, Icespitter was given the role of the magic and year five teacher, He also doubles as the clan's librarian, tending to and collecting books. "I’m tired of people only wanting me to shine when they need my light." Friendly, warm, and fatherly, Icespitter was chosen for the role of one of the city's best teachers. Beloved by many of his students current and past, he is the very backdrop of the clan's magical expertise. His crystal and facet genes come from both his mother and father. His basic gene is from his mother. - Likes: Reading, Books, Teaching, Felines, Plants,Storytelling, Haunted and Remote areas - Dislikes: Fighting, Extreme Heat, Feathers - Secret(s): His greed, Worsening blindness - According to the Sornieth Floriography Guide, light's breath stands for intelligence. - Icespitter's dodo is named Primavera. His students love the little bird and often pet him, but the bird enjoys basking in the attention. - Alone Together - Coliseum Getup - Icespitter is partially blind, and he will eventually become completely blind as time passes. - He can understand and speak draconian with only a little difficulty, but cannot understand Zhyrine very well. His friends Windchaser and Askook help them communicate. - Icespitter will usually use violence as a last resort to resolve problems. - Icespitter has a large hoard of literature, as reading is his favorite thing to do in his free time. When he becomes completely blind, reading is one of the things he'll miss the most. - He was an incredibly rebellious teen. In fact, he burned his home to the ground. - Having regretted his past more and more as he grow older, Icespitter returned to the ruins of his former home many times, mostly after he met Askook, the clan second and one of his closest friends. He would collect items, these objects usually being burnt or singed. He'd find dolls, books, and many old memories of his hatchling years. He found a decorated turtle shell that belonged to his parents that he later gave to Askook. - Icespitter can breathe frost, create ice shards and crystals, create icicles, and freeze water. He can also use frost to heal wounds. - If Icespitter feels threatened or intimidated, he and his clothing will slowly freeze over. - The Library contains many, many books. Most of these are written by the clan's own members or by Influenza with their knowledge. Most dragons write at least one small book during their lifetime. - His real name is Cyprian, but he prefers to go by Icespitter. He thought a new name would be good for his process of changing himself and finding peace a long time ago. - He has a bounty of 5kt on his head. Origin Story Icespitter used to live in a clan filled of dragons who shone, glimmered and sparkled. Quite literally. Many of them were narcissistic and cared only for their looks. Only those of remarkable beauty were blessed with the honor of staying among them. Icespitter grew to despise the ways of the clan, and with a few others, attempted to burn their home to the ground. It partially worked, half of the lair burning down. He didn't know if any lives were taken, he left immediately afterward. He did sustain damage from his rash actions. His eyes are now weak, and he will eventually become blind. Ironically, this assisted him in seeing the errors of his ways. So he sought to redeem himself. Icespitter spent his young adult years trying to seek peace, and thus he met with Askook, who helped him find himself. When Askook, and his new mate Zhyrine, decided to found a clan, Icespitter was one of the first dragons to join. Icespitter's Magic Frigid Bolt - A bolt consisting of sharp shards of ice. Aid - A healing spell consisting of frost embedded with magic. The wound is frozen over and when the ice melts, it would have healed. Best used for minor injury. Frost Breath - A breath spell strong enough to cause gangrene via frostbite. Congeal - A spell that seals the enemy in ice. Fails on large dragons. Cryokinetic Constructs - A versatile power where Icespitter can create icicles, ice walls, etc, etc. Jagged Ice - A row of ice spikes launch forward from Icespitter. Glacial Blitz - Icespitter summons forth a small storm that rains down hail and ice upon anyone underneath it. It often causes a lot of collateral damage. It starts over him and expands over the course of three seconds.
