Cyber was built in an underground base and eventually escaped to the surface. They initially started as part of some sort of simulation but the project got abandoned, leaving Cyber to rot by themselves. Over time, they became extremely bitter, especially since their programmers were continuing to use the same space that the old simulation had been in to build the new one.

At some point during their years of being trapped, they started planning on a way to get out. They could see the outside world; they knew the programmers were starting to built robots. Maybe they were going to abandon their new project too... Slowly but surely, their plan started to form, though there was one major problem... They would need someone to help and the only being with some semblance of consciousness was the very same program that had been used to replace them, GHOST.

The moment the two programs met, tensions rose; both were clearly using the other to get out and some part of them knew this. Both escaped, with Cyber taking an older but more stable body.
