LORE When Freyr was a normal, average, vulnerable egg, something horrifying happened. The Shade, which had long been forgotten throughout the land, had merged with the egg. Freyr's parents knew nothing of the fact that their firstborn hatchling would not be the hatchling they were expecting. Freyr hatched normally enough. He didn't have a third marking (tertiary gene) which terrified his parents since both of them had markings of their own. But, they went on taking care of him. The baby Imperial was a happy, healthy bundle of joy. Until his markings starting to come in. They etched themselves onto him in an almost painful manner. The inky, black runes appeared little by little. Freyr cried out in pain. His parents didn't know how to comfort him. They cried out in pain with the small Imperial as his mother wrapped herself around him. One day, Freyr stopped screaming. The rune markings had finished etching themselves onto his skin. They glowed with a black light. His mother worried for him. She worried for herself since she was with another egg at the time. Freyr seemed normal enough. Thorns started to grow from the runes. Freyr didn't scream or cry in pain while these grew. In fact, he seemed to take a liking to them. His relationship with his parents grew distant as they realized that he wasn't right. He enjoyed killing for no purpose. He enjoyed torturing other, smaller, helpless creatures. Freyr didn't seem to mind the growing distance as the thorns continued to grow on him. He tried to hurt his unborn sister. He had tried to break open her egg. His mother stopped him. She grabbed him by the scruff then tossed him outside. Freyr wasn't a full grown Imperial, she had the power and strength to do such a thing. The thorn dragon tried to reenter the cave. She blocked him. "You are not allowed here anymore, Freyr. I dealt with your issues, but you tried to hurt your unborn sibling. That is unforgivable." She frightened him away. Freyr fled from his home before he took flight into the air. It was painful with the thorns through his wings, but the pain became tolerable until the pain had disappeared. He landed outside the den of a pack of Mirrors. They came after him. He won the fight. They bowed before him. Freyr grinned. He was their leader now. Freyr ruled with an iron paw. He didn't let anything stand, and everybody fought to their death. He weeded out the weak and only left the strong. He had many children from different dragoness' that were brought to him. Most against their will ... he didn't seem to mind. It was when his pack had to leave their lands that he had gotten a horrible idea. The Shade touched dragon would get his revenge for being abandoned ... | ~~~~~~ |
