As part of their fight against Ice flight this week, the residents of the Tangled Woods have issued an open invitation to all flights [except for Ice!! (joking) ] to come and explore the rarely seen depths of the Tangled Woods. You have always been curious about the Tangled Woods, it’s residents and The Shadowbinder and decide to take up their kind invitation.
You leave your homeland for the journey to the Tangled Woods filled with hope and brimming with excited energy. The weary looking fae who greets your at the meeting place listed on the invitation dims your excitement a little, but, you think with a smile; surely she is busy greeting all the visitors and this is why she looks so tired.

She goes on to explain that due to a side effect from a past fight for dominance some months past, the Tangled Woods is…… somewhat more dangerous and wilder than usual. She warns you that to continue on is to take the risk that you may be hurt and worse, may not come back at all. If, she warns, if you are willing to accept this risk, feel free to explore the Tangled Woods and she hopes you have a great time.
She nods to you as a farewell and flits over to another who is waiting, to begin her tale again. You stand, heart filled with some doubt, but you nevertheless decide to take the risk and fulfill your long-held wish to explore the Tangled Woods. You take to the wing and enter the gloomy woods.

How To play
it's basically a choose your own adventure. At the start you choose 1 of 2 options and then do the same at the next and the next until you reach an ending!!

As you enter the Tangled Woods to look around during the event currently happening, you are shocked to see the Tangled Wood's weather changing literally before your disbelieving eyes. It was a beautiful if slightly gloomy sunny day....... and now a monsoon was roaring towards you.

You panic slightly and make a spilt second decision:
Option 1: Run into the nearby cave you see as you look frantically for shelter.
Option 2: Run for cover deeper within the Tangled Wood's denser foliage.

As you dash into the dark cave, you are shocked and dismayed to find that it is snowing inside!! The weather sure is strange at the moment in the Tangled Woods!! You slow and stop just before the area where the snow starts to build up.

You stop to consider your options. Scanning the cave around you, you:
Option 1: Back away from the snowy area and head towards a visible tunnel a little ways off.
Option 2: You decide to forge forward into the snowy depths of the main area of the cave.

As you dash to the deep foliage you are shocked to discover the Sun is beating down like you are within a desert! You look around, wiping the sweat from your brow as you do and see the local beast-clans sheltering within a shady part of the Woods.

As the Sun beats down upon you, you stop to consider your options:
Option 1: Head over to the friendly looking Luminous Ambassador who is with the beast clan members and ask for shelter.
Option 2: As you look further into the Woods you spot a dark, shady spot nearby and decide to make your way there to get relief from the heat.

As you make your way away from the cold, snowy main tunnel, you begin to explore the nearby offshoot. As you make your way deeper into the tunnel, you begin to feel the winds pick up. As your mind starts to worry, the wind begins to change from a slight breeze to something closer to storm force winds. You begin to panic. With the way the weather is behaving at the moment, you suspect that the winds will get worse.

You hunker down and begin to try to work out a way to get out of this situation! You look around desperately for a way out:
Option 1: You spot a dark hole near the side of the tunnel on the floor and jump down into it.
Option 2: You decide to belly crawl along the tunnel floor to try to evade the worst of the winds and hopefully find a way out!

As you begin to ford the snow, you push deeper and deeper into the main cave system. The snow is cold and as deep as your head in places, but you push on and your persistance pays off, as the snow begins to become more and more shallow. The cause for this seems to be a slight and slow increase in the temperature within the area. As you get to the deepest part of the tunnel, you are dismayed to find the tunnel ahead filled with snow-melt!

You pause and begin to look for another way forward, spotting only two ways. Swimming or a crawl space:
Option 1: You decide to stay the course and trust in your awesome swimming skills, take a deep breath of air and begin to dive.
Option 2: You realise that your swimming skills suck and look frantically for another way. You spot a small crawlspace which looks just big enough for you near the roof and fly up to take that way.

As you make your way over to the beast clan members, you try to make yourself look as friendly as possible and call out a loud greeting to the Luminous Ambassedor as soon as you get within hearing range. They welcome you and you start to cool. As the light starts to lessen, your heart starts to sink. 'What now?' you think.

You look out to see the sunny skies have become stormy. You have two choices:
Option 1: Stay right where you are, safe and cosy with the beast clan members.
Option 2: Try to out-fly the coming storm front and try to get away from all this madness!!

As you enter the dark shadowy spot, you are stunned to be greeted by a nice, comfy looking den! It seems you have stumbled upon the den of a clan of centaurs. You apologise and try to explain, but they don't look very happy with your intrusion.

As the centuar's faces darken with anger, you start to look for a way to escape..... without hurting the centaurs of course! You spot two likely routes to safety:
Option 1: You spy what looks like an escape tunnel incase of seige and dart towards it.
Option 2: You look towards the roof and spot a sunlight covered in a panel of glass, which looks easy to break through.

and feeling like you are in the story of 'Alice In Wonderland' you fall for what feels like an eternity (but was around 5 minutes) and land on a large, soft and squishy bunch of glowshrooms.
As you shake off the impact you spy a glimmer of light in the corner of your eye. When you turn to look, you see light reflecting from deeper in the tunnel you landed in. You make your way towards it and when you finally emerge, blinking to adjust your eyes, you are stunned to find yourself right back where you started before all this madness started!
You take to the skies to return home, glad to be heading home and glad for having come and sated your curiousity!

As you crawl and crawl along the tunnel floor, the winds roar and roar and roar. As you continue to crawl futher along, the wind's shriek begins to lessen, and you feel the wind's pressure against your body become lighter and lighter.
As the pressure and roar of wind finally ends you scramble to your feet. You look around and discover that you have gone very far into the earth. You take a deep breath, the slight feeling of claustrophobia pressing against your mind and continue down the tunnel.
When you finally reach the end of the tunnel, you are stunned to discover a stunning crystal covered cavern. You hum in pleasure at the beautiful sight and decide to rest here for a spell before making your way out of the cavern.
After your short nap, you look around the cavern and discover a small opening in the ceiling, which spills light into the cavern, making the crystals glow. You fly up and to your surprise and good luck, the opening is just big enough for you to squeeze through and fly out.
You fly from the cavern and take to the skies to return home, tired, but with a mind full of new-found memories.

As you dive into the clear snow-melt, you feel your muscles start to tighten from the biting cold. You instinctively relax them in a bid not to lose your lung-full of air, and keep swimming deeper.
Your lungs burn as you swim for what feels like forever. You push yourself harder and harder, swimming faster and faster. As you start to see black spots from lack of fresh oxygen, your head finally breaks the surface at the other end of the tunnel.
Your lungs greedily suck in fresh air and panting and gasping you look around. Your heart sinks. The tunnel is very dark, though you spot several glowing mushrooms which you think can be used as a source of light. You pluck one from the wall and begin to explore the tunnel.
As you continue to traverse the tunnel, your breathing echos and begins to slightly creep you out. Your steps hasten in response and finally, to your relieved cry you reach the end of the tunnel. You take your first steps out and look around. Your heart sinks as you realise that you are completely lost.
You keep the glowshroom, placing it behind your wing, and take to the skies to search for a way home and safety!

As you crawl along the crawl-space, you begin to feel the ends of the space brushing against you. You start to panic mentally as the crawl-space becomes more and more narrower. You close your eyes and pray to the Eleven that you will reach the end of this tunnel safely and without getting stuck and as you finish your prayer you start to feel the crawl-space begin to widen again.
You pause and offer your thanks to the Eleven and then open your eyes. You are pleasantly surprised to see an opening a few meters away from you and you hasten to it and jump down. You land and look around, shocked and delighted to discover that you have reached an oasis within the cavern system. You hasten to the small pool of crystal clear water and take a long drink. The water tastes of minerals and you feel it hydrating your body as you drink it.
You then find a nice looking patch of grass and sit down to rest, to calm your nerves after your trip through the crawl-space. After 20 minutes of quiet meditation, you open your eyes and begin to search for a way out. To your surprise, there is actually an exit sign above one of the tunnels (you figure that this must be a popular place then!)
You exit via the tunnel and find yourself near the edge of the Tangled Woods. You take to the skies and head homewards, looking forward to telling all your friends of your travels in the Tangled Woods.

You accept the beast clan member's offer of shelter and food for the night and accompany them to their home compound. You are shown to a nice little building, with many nice, soft feather filled cushions, warm animal hide blankets for warmth and a small fountain for water during the night.
You spend time with the beast clan members, listening to their stories and songs, sharing some of your own, and at dinner time, enjoying a lovely meal with them. When you wake the next morning, the weather has cleared and you can begin your trip home. The beast clan gift you with a basket filled with some of the food they cooked last night, and you thank them and take the basket with gratitude. Your trip home seems to go by so fast and it seems like you arrive home seconds after leaving. What a trip!

As you fly ever onwards, racing against the storm with the raindrops beating on your wings, your mind narrows to the one thought.
Fly. Fly fast, fly hard and fly until you don't feel the rain anymore.
This goes on for another 20 minutes, but finally, you manage to out fly the storm. You start to look for a good place to land. You spot what looks like a clear spot to land, and as you start to descend towards it out of nowhere, a strong gust of wind blasts into your body out of nowhere and knocks you out of the sky.
The world spins as you tumble through the air, the force pulling you one way than another. Your vision grows darker as the pain begins to grow stronger and stronger.
You awake with a pained gasp some hours later. You are sore, and have some small cuts, bruises, and sprains but were lucky enough not to break any bones. As your disbelieving eyes take in where you landed you wince. If your body had come down anywhere else in this clearing, you would be dead right now, the clearing covered in sharp looking rocks.
You painfully take to the air, headed home to get some medical attention and to go offer some treasure to your temple for your miraculous survival.

Dodging the arrows the enraged centaurs were shooting at you, you dive into the escape tunnel and you feel the last few arrows narrowly miss you, one skimming over a wing tip.
You rush down the tunnel as fast as your talons can take you, and in a flurry of wing beats, take to the air as soon as you get close to the end of the tunnel. You have to dodge more arrows the centaurs following your trail for the next 30 minutes and you breathe a sigh of relief when they finally give up and head towards their den.
You begin the flight home, cursing your decision to finally visit the Tangled Woods this week. What a horrible time you had!!

As the centaurs reach for their quivers and bows, you take to the air and fly towards the skylight as fast as you possibly can in the cramped space. You pull your wings close as you break through the thin glass covering, snapping your wings open and taking to the sky.
Beneath you, you can hear soft pained cries and curses coming from the centaurs den, but you block that from your mind and concentrate on getting the hell away from the area.
After 30 minutes of flying in...... you look around and discover you were flying in a northerly direction. You land and take deep breathes in after all the exertion. You look around and discover that you've actually flow right to the border between the territories of Shadow and Earth. You shake your head and begin to work out how to get home from here. What a day, you lament..... but at least you got to see some of the Tagled Woods before everything went to hell!!
