Biography
Longshen is one of the oldest dragons remaining in the clan. He has been around long enough to see the founders of the clan leave, as well as countless others who chose to follow a different path.
He and Hester have been together for almost their whole lives, seemingly crossing paths at the hands of destiny. They both departed from previous clans during the same week and stumbled across a small den carved into a Crystalspine Reach occupied by some ten-or-so welcoming dragons. As they were the only foreign newcomers, they naturally found themselves getting along. Now they both serve as a part of Aquila's four leaders.
He stumbled upon his familiar, a Tigerblood Foo named Fai when he was in the early stages of becoming a clan head. Fai accompanies Longshen everywhere. They room together, hunt together, and Fai is always hiding nearby when Longshen prepares for battle.
Longshen commands battle strategy, naturally. He has his flaws, but does his best to act in the clan's best interest. Protecting the clan is his main priority. He appoints and manages the guards, spearheads any dangerous expeditions, and fights among the ranks.
While Longshen is skilled in combat, the one major flaw in his fighting style is his surprising ineptitude at hunting. He is precise and calculated in a fight, but when prey start to run, he struggles to track them down. For smaller endeavors, this is when Fai jumps in, but he is ill-equipped to lead the hunters of Aquila. This is where Hera and Lucky come in. Not only are they learned hunters, eagle-eyed gatherers, and adept gatherers, they are significantly smarter than Longshen in every way except in battle. This fact can get under Longshen's skin occasionally, but when this happens, he focuses his gaze on what he excels at to prove his worth to himself.
While Longshen doesn't spend his time towards being as book smart as the other clan heads, his eye for battle that neither Lucky, Hera, or Hester can attempt to contest has been in the making for years. He has been in a Coliseum team with Aorn and Dungeon Master since he was a teenager and has learned multitudes not only from experience, but from watching Aorn and DM fight. They learned to combat their weaknessess with the help of one another's unique approaches to each situation they encountered, and have grown very close to each other throughout their time together. Dungeon Master is Longshen's right-hand man and Aorn can be trusted with... unconventional... fighting strategy and aquatic combat.
Longshen is charmed by Adonis' free spirit, as it reminds him of Aorn's misunderstood nature he became quite familiar with from when they were fledglings. Longshen makes an effort to take Adonis under his wing (while the young , though Adonis does not place much interest in battle, preferring to observe rather than act.
