B I O G R A P H Y

Not everyone in the library is an academic, and Effry is living proof that you don't need to be buried in research to be valuable. He was already tending to the flowers around the building when Aithne showed up, and he agreed to allow her its use under one condition: that he would get final say over the library's landscaping.

Effry is not a scholar, not by traditional means. He doesn't read much and he's never heard of a 'p value,' but few can best him in the art of plant husbandry. He takes his job seriously, as he does most things in life, and it's no wonder: his landscaping attracts the insects the library fae eat, as well as providing the nectar that is favored among his own subspecies. Effry has even managed to convince Aithne that knowledge of the natural world is a noble scholarly pursuit. For now, Effry alone oversees the grounds, although he has a gardener or two under his command.

Although he's gentle to flora and fauna alike, Effry is a gruff fae who seems to personify the tough love stereotype. He believes in giving respect only when his is earned, but once it is he's as loyal of a fae as can be. He thrives in the garden surrounding the library, so much so that he refuses to sleep indoors. His brand of magic makes him the library's first defense; it's difficult to get into a building when the surrounding plants go on the offensive seemingly on their own.

I N V E N T O R Y

Mecatur may not have any healing abilities, but he's a heck of a gardener. Effry has trained the cerdae to eat only specific plants that grow in the garden, and as such he's a very effective weedkiller.

R E L A T I O N S H I P S

Henna- One of the few fae to earn Effry's respect and favor, mostly because of her deep knowledge of flowers. He allows her a few corners of the garden in which to nurture her blossoms of choice.

Hithon- This fae is a pain in Effry's butt.
