Bufo

One day, Milo was foraging along the riverbank when a little speckled critter waddled up to him. Believing him to be some type of frog or lizard, Milo kindly released the creature into the woods at the river's shore. A few days later, Milo approached the river with the intention of foraging and was surprised when the same creature splashed out, larger and lucid, and began babbling at him! The mysterious hatchling was easily accepted into the clan, with the supposition he had gotten lost from a Wind clan living on the Reedcliffs above. Since that day, Bufo has grown into an excellent swimmer and focused forager, just like his foster father.

Unlike Milo, who forages for wild mushrooms, herbs, and more in the forest, Bufo's task lies below sea level - he must gather delectable plants that grow freely in the coral reef and deeper in the ocean. He also boasts a mighty farm of watermelon - they're not at all difficult to grow, and are a favorite form of nourishment for clan members and visitors alike!

Bufo lives in a tidy hut on the coast near the Viridian Forest with a view of the Sea (complete with bobbing red melons). He's just as happy to nap in the cradle of the waves, trusting his natural buoyancy to keep him afloat - though his lack of tether means he's been swept out to sea more than once. Don't worry, he's a strong swimmer!

Like the rest of his Bogsneak kin, Bufo enjoys a semi-aquatic lifestyle. His pourous skin is nourished by the clean water in Sunbeam Grotto's streams and sea.
