After hatching and becoming an adult Spinner went in search of a mate. Upon meeting Firefly he knew they were already in deep. Both being born 'male' they knew that if they wanted to nest together a 'female' dragon would have to be brought into the frey. It wasn't easy to find another dragon willing to nest with one of the two males and agree to let them keep the eggs after but before nesting the three of them realized something and it seemed as though they'd all be raising the eggs together.
| "Having lost two nests and a mate already, Eurite was terrified that her eggs may not hatch, and her children may not survive. Her mate, Irid, took it upon himself to find a solution. Since their adopted child, all of their eggs have been given protective runes by Serif, made with ink imbued with magic by Aedwyn, verses written by Taffeta, and consult from Amlot. These runes seem to effect the dragons after they've hatched influencing their strengths and personalities. |
