Introduction words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words History Though at first glance his appearance is akin to a monstrous sea creature, the reality is rather tragic. Miromere was once a proud imperial, but was left mutated and insane in complete isolation. He was but a hatchling in the lair owned by the original workshop inhabitants when the Incident took place. An unfortunate victim in the wrong place at the wrong time, he become lost in an unending maze of crevices and stones loosened by a catastrophic explosion. He fell, crawled, and clawed his way deep into the earth, far out of reach of the fair gaze of the sun; any hope of rescue dying along with his sanity. The only way out was forward so down, down, still further down he crept. As a hatchling he was barely small enough to squeeze through mere cracks in the stone, and at some point his wings were sacrificed in an act of desperation. He was trapped, lonely and hungry, oh so hungry with only the voices in his head for company. The combined factors of experimental alchemical concoctions, extreme claustrophobia, intense loneliness, and near starvation in the pitch blackness broke him into an entirely different creature. Now he patrols the watery caverns far below, surviving from one day to the next on whatever morsels he can scavenge. He claims an especially large underground lake as his throne, with nothing but the haunting glow of shining crystals holding watch over his reign. Trivia

"He was with us when we left the cove, I'm sure of it," the caretaker whimpered, blinking rapidly as she wrung her paws in distress. "But after that, I can't recall the last time I saw him. The Inquisition, the guards forcing us out, it's all a blur - oh storms above what am I going to do, what if... what if he's-"
TenSoon shook his head to keep her from saying any more, rubbing a comforting paw over her shoulder. "Hey. Don't even go there. We've got to keep it together for the little ones here." His gaze softened slightly as he glanced to the hatchlings frolicking in the sand, before lowering his voice to continue. "I doubt the Inquisition will pay him much mind in all the commotion; they've got bigger things to worry about than one small hatchling." He chanced a glimpse towards the cliffside entrance, where Interrogators were gleefully confiscating seized goods like a greedy swarm of locusts. "He's sure to pop up sooner or later, and the instant we get back in we'll do a thorough search of the lair. Knowing him, he'll probably be napping in a corner somewhere, blissfully unaware of all the headache he's caused us..."

Igus was currently having the time of his life. When the visitors had arrived at the lair there was a lot of shouting and it was scary at first, but he'd taken the opportunity to slip away in search of adventures. Several strangely dressed dragons had yelled at him, but they were too busy with their work to bother giving chase. After that he'd avoided them easily enough - he was small for an imperial hatchling and deceptively sneaky. Making his way to the room with the fancy machines and shiny bottles had been surprisingly easy in the chaos, and even better, it was unguarded except for a few visitors watching the corridor. Obstacles easily avoided by a venture through the air vents.
Now back in his super secret cave hideout, he pulled out the prizes he'd scored to display them alongside the rest of his collection. A tube of shining blue liquid was placed by his prized chunk of Lapis Lazuli, a vial of glimmering purple goop next to the Amethyst Geode, a vat of shimmering clear liquid went onto another ledge. As he basked in the beauty of his collection of rare and wonderful treasures, he let out a giggle, reveling in the feeling of victory in having pulled off such a daring heist.
