Osoroshi the Second is the matriarch's adopted younger brother. He was a young orphan taken in because he reminded Vrindi too much of her late elder brother. Osoroshi is one of the most popular members of the clan for his hopeful and cheery outlook on life, and for the work he does all around Sorneith. While he was sheltered growing up, he sought out information of the world from the other clan members, and soon championed several causes to protect the vulnerable from privileged communities. Osoroshi is best known for his journeys into other lands to try and distribute much-needed funds and basic necessities.

The world is ever in need of those willing to give back, and for Osoroshi, that job is never, ever done.

His is a thankless job; from delivering supplies to claws that snatch them clean out of his own paws, to stamping out infestations few others would ever put themselves at risk for, to even offering raw strength for little more than pittance pay. Sometimes, he grows so tired he can't even raise up his wings; other times, he finds himself hungry and alone in a realm utterly foreign to him.

And yet, he would never give up his job, not for the world.

Sometimes, he thinks back on his childhood growing up. On his sister and his clan, on the family he missed out on having, on the dragon whose name he had stolen - even if only by sheer accident, or even perhaps, luck. And every time he looks back, he wonders what could have been, had he forever been plagued by misfortune and disease. Certainly, there was no reason for anyone to take pity on him then.

But just as his spirits fall, there is always something around the corner to remind him of dragonkind's immutably kind nature.

A scrap, left out at night from a grateful daughter whose grandmother's life was saved by just-in-time supplies... or a ragged bed proffered by overrun nurses finally free of a wayward fungal infection... or a meal on the house from the contractor grateful for the morning's help.

Even those with nothing to spare will spare something. They are the ones who know most what it's like to have nothing at all, and when they see someone else with even less, then they will share what they can. At least, in Osoroshi's experience.

His heart warms at every offer. And when he leaves the area to pass onto the next, he always remembers what they tell him.

"No one can ever take from us who we are. We may be ugly, ratty and tattered, but we are still here."

Yes, Osoroshi likes the sound of that.

Perhaps he will open a soup kitchen next?

Vrindi

___________________ Osoroshii's older sister. He was adopted by Vrindi shortly after she lost her own older brother, and in honor of him named the boy Osoroshii the Second. The two get on famously, with Osoroshii following Vrindi about and doing menial tasks for her while she tries to get through every day. He only does these things on the promise that she'll play with him later, and the two get into scraps and playfights that remind the both of them that they're never more than just hatchlings in a cold, unforgiving world.

___________________ Osoroshii's younger stepsister. When Goldie was adopted by Rusty, Osoroshii didn't really know what to think. He felt awkward approaching the robot, thinking it would just be some kind of strange, unfeeling machine... until one day, he watched her walk up to him, roll on her back, and ask in such a sweet, mechanical voice... to play with him! Now, the two are playmates and best friends, and Osoroshii goes out of his way to teach Goldie new things that may or may not get the both of them in trouble.

___________________ One of Osoroshii's idols. Popcorn is an incredible writer, and Osoroshii eats up all of her stories to the point of always asking when the next installment of her latest novel will come out. But, more than that, he wishes she would take him on as an apprentice and teach him how to write amazing stories, too. She doesn't often respond to his fanmail, but every time she does... oh, he feels elated.
