Raodra came from a home on the Zephyr Steppes. His parents were not soulmates in any sense of the word. In fact, Raodra had never even met his father. His mother was his sole caretaker and, to put it bluntly, it was obvious she had never wanted to be a mother.
As a only child, Roadra had a very lonely hatchlinghood. He was bright and happy-go-lucky, but nobody seemed to want to be his friend. They all seemed annoyed and angry at him and he never understood why. Eventually, he started to skip social meetings and get togethers. Instead, he took to the skies. The wind didn't judge him, he could fly as freely as he wanted. He felt free. However, as soon as he landed, his mother was furious that he skipped his duties. He tried to explain, but she didn't understand. She wouldn't listen to a word he had to say. So, Raodra just... left. He left his life behind in favour of the skies. He could find something better. Someone that understood him.... right?
After flying for what seemed like forever, he landed. He had never explored this far before, and he had no idea where he was. The only think he knew was that he was still in Wind territory, evident by the bamboo shoots growing in impossible places.
Suddenly, he saw it.
A bright light green light shined above him. A huge being with massive wings was in the sky. He was... huge. He seemed to take up the whole sky. The being switched directions and a strong gust of wind took Raodra by surprise and blew him into the air, closer to the being. Its head was barely visible through the light, but Raodra could make out a snout, and long ears sort of like his own...

The being opened its mouth and let out a screech. It shook all the bamboo, shattering a majority. The light dimed, and Raodra could see it in full. Its head was the size of Raodra's body. Its eyes glowed still, its eye colour differing from his own. The being seemed to look over at him before disappearing.
Just like that, it was gone.... and so was the wind that surrounded it.
Raodra came crashing down, landing on one of the shattered bamboo stocks. The bamboo stuck into his hind legs. The pain was unimaginable. He cried out in pain, trying to get himself free. Finally, a wondering dragon heard him. After struggling and endless agony, he was freed.
He made camp with the other dragon. Luckily for Raodra, the other knew some basic medicine practices. He found out his name was Cantabo. He was a nomad, mapping everything he could about the Wind territory. He showed him his journal. It had more species of plants and animals than Raodra could count.
Eventually, the two dragons went on their own adventures together. He saw everything he ever possibly could in the Windswept Plateau. It was gorgeous, and he loved every second of it. Years went by, and Raodra was finally happy.
Then, he got a brilliant idea. Why not travel to the other regions? They needed to spread the word about this amazing and diverse place! Raodra pitched the idea to Cantabo. Cantabo thought the idea was reckless. Why leave their safe home for the unknown? Raodra pressed, but Cantabo wasn't budging. He said the idea made no sense, that it was foolish.
Raodra was heartbroken. The dragon he sought out to understand him didn't at all. He was faced with an important decision... stay at home with the dragon he cared about most, or leave the whole life he built up from nothing for a dream. It was a difficult question for his mind, but his heart knew what it wanted. It wanted to leave.
So, Raodra did just that. He said goodbye to Cantabo and wished him luck for the future, and set sails in the sky.
The first territory he reached was the Sea of a Thousand Currents. This was when Raodra realized a problem.... he didn't know how to swim. So, he went to the next territory, landing as little as possible. Up the waterfall he flew, and set his eyes on a beautiful land. Filled with light green grass and pillars that reached for the clouds. He landed and took camp. He was searching for any neighbouring clans of any sort when he heard a loud voice.
"Who goes there?! State your business!"
It was a shiny red Nocturne with glowing eyes.
"I... I'm looking for a clan..."
