Future was supposed to be the next leader of the clan.

It was her mother, Nightbane's wish. Since Future was the only one of Nightbane's first nest left in the clan, she feels that it's only fitting that her daughter take her place as leader when she is no longer fit to lead.

But Future had no interest in wanting to lead.

She'd always been lazy and a troublemaker. She would rather be off with her sister Morningmist, playing games than to take any responsibility within the clan.

Nightbane had tried training Future, but it has done no good.

She also had a problem with self esteem and easily fell under peer pressure, traits that could be dangerous if she were to lead the clan.

After Seeking Clan split apart and Nightbane retired, to the surprise of all the remaining dragons, Future was not chosen to lead.

It was a relief to Future, because she has always known that she is not leadership material, and she's glad her mother saw that.

Future now spends her time with chores around the new clan. She grows worried for her mate, Hecate, who is constantly pushing the limits of her magical abilities.

Her fanger familiar is named Past, named after Future's brother who is no longer in the clan. Future is usually covered in a dusting of her familiar's hair, and makes a few of her clanmates sneeze when she walks past them.
