1071.png 		Addelmar was born as the least traditional Nature-Born Mirror one could possibly imagine. He was dainty. He was formal. He was strenuously though often backhandedly polite, and he avoided physical altercations like a man soaked in gasoline avoids a match. He refused to be violent, refused to be 'feral' and loathed the expectations placed on him by his race.

While he was sent to the Underclan to function as an Ambassador, he made himself useful by planning and designing what was eventually known as the Root System, the intricate tunnels that were beginning to spread out under the Labyrinth as the clan grew and more dragons needed to carve dens out for themselves. Often, he would hop across the canal to the Sunbeam Ruins, to take inspiration from the Pearlcatcher colonies that lived there.
This eventually convinced him to petition Slinky for a breedchange- Pearlcatcher culture, their dignity and grace appealed to his desperate need to be respected. Despite being only the second of Slinky's 'projects' in that regard, Addelmar found himself thoroughly pleased with the transformation, and indeed, it would be nigh impossible to tell by his demeanor today that he was anything ever but a Pearlcatcher.

Even his pearl is a perfect sphere- the usual yardstick by which a Pearlcatcher's 'integrity' might be gauged- this, however, is because it is a born Pearlcatcher's pearl, stolen from a Pearlcatcher tomb in the Ruins by Slinky and Yoso. He would rather die than admit its source.
