Once an Arcane dragon--a shared bit of history he and Fortuna have bonded over--he found himself an outcast due to a learning disability that rendered him blunt, socially oblivious, and marked by eccentric tics and mannerisms. He struggled to keep pace with his peers, despite his efforts. Like any other Arcane dragon, Kiyuri cherished the pursuit of knowledge and art of magic. Yet, a pervasive sense of inadequacy nagged at him. Why couldn't he excel like the others? Convinced that he could never measure up, he departed from the sanctuary of the Starfall Isles, embarking on a somber pilgrimage through the Tangled Wood. A suffocating hopelessness weighed on him, obscuring his thoughts and driving him into self-imposed isolation. In a moment of despair, he resorted to a reckless act—ingesting one of the luminous mushrooms found in the forest, intending to harm himself. Unexpectedly, this opened the doors of his consciousness to an extraordinary experience, one that severed his ego entirely. He found himself seeing the world from a perspective beyond his wildest imagination. The forest pulsated with vitality as every living thing teemed with energy, even the most shadowed corners. Whispers emanated from the depths, carrying secrets of the woodland and the enigma of shadows.
