Shadescale is a dragon shrouded in mystery, tied closely to the more serious aspects of the shadow flight. She is seldom chatty, preferring instead to meditate quietly on unknown topics. Often, she cannot be drawn from her reverie by others, only herself. Details of her past are obscure, unknown to the rest of the clan. Most of what she says is ambiguous and confusing.

While this graceful dragon remains an enigma, it is apparent that she is highly insightful and intuitive, guiding the clan in their long term endeavors. At times, Shadescale reacts to stimuli before they occur, prompting some dragons of the clan to believe she can see the future.

In addition, she is proficient at finding lost objects for the others of the clan. At any given time, there is often a long line of dragons waiting with requests to seek out their misplaced things. As a result, clan Moonbriar has not had one odd sock since her mysterious appearance.
