Spe

Spe means “hope” in Latin. It is in the ablative form, so a more literal translation would be “with hope.” Spe and her brother Fide think providing guidance to the young and growing dragons of the clan is the most fulfilling calling they possibly could have pursued. Spe is very intentional about meeting regularly with her mentees to check in on their well-being, but otherwise takes a more indirect approach than her brother. Other dragons know their worries, their fears, and even their frustrations are safe with her, and so she listens. Patiently, quietly. If it is advice they seek, she is more than happy to give it, and if a hug and an “it’s going to be okay,” are what they need, she’s more than happy to provide that, too.
